Pierre Véry

Crime writer, or more often classified as mystery writer, Pierre Véry owned this house. He was the author of more than 40 works including “Les Disparus de Saint-Agil”, “Le Thé des Vieilles Dames”, “L’Assassinat du Père-Noël”……These works were made into films and enjoyed great success.

At Bellon, where he was born the 17th November 1900, a 4 km pedestrian circuit symbolically traces the life of the author. A leaflet is available from the Aubeterre Tourist Office and at the Town Hall in Bellon.
